“Congratulations to the Philippine Qatar Trade Initiative (PhlQat) for the biggest ever trade to Qatar which was jointly undertaken by the Philippine private and business sectors. The visit aims to explore partnership possibilities between Philippines and Qatar business enterprises especially in promoting products that are not compatible to the country. The trade mission may also open opportunities for engaging special sectors of interests such as hotels for high-end and quality furniture, outsourcing architectural, interior design and engineering services to the Philippines, and exploring jewelry.
This trade mission would also be a good venue to explore new trade opportunities and to promote the Philippines as an optimal place for investments as Qatar diversifies away from oil and gas and pursues long-term investment plans. I assure PhlQat of the Embassy’s assistance for this undertaking and I look forward to more opportunities of economic cooperation between the Philippines and Qatar. Mabuhay kayong lahat!”
